(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said four people killed in a crash on South Powers Boulevard and Fountain Boulevard on July 13 have been identified, and all were below the age of 21.
According to CSPD, on Sunday, July 13, at around 4:25 a.m., officers were notified of a two-car crash at the intersection of South Powers and Fountain Boulevards. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and determined that two of the people on the scene were dead. Two other people had life-threatening injuries, and one person with serious injuries was taken to the hospital.

CSPD said its investigation determined that a Nissan Rogue carrying four people was heading south on Powers approaching Fountain, and was allegedly speeding. A second vehicle, a Lexus SUV, was traveling north on Powers when it entered the intersection, making a left-hand turn. The Nissan entered the intersection and hit the SUV. After the collision, the Nissan slid and rolled, coming to a stop on the southwest corner of the road.
