BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is warning Kern County residents of scams impersonating the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff officials said the scammers are claiming the recipient has missed jury duty, failed to appear in court, ignored a grand jury subpoena or is wanted for contempt of court.
