TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Federal funding cuts are starting to make an impact locally. The Lucas County Foster Grandparent Program through Senior Centers, Inc. is feeling the effects. In fact, it’s being eliminated.
The program has been around for 50 years. It connects older adults with children who are in need of a positive role model. Those involved are worried that without this program, kids won’t have the role models they need to succeed.
