Man shot in Southeast DC; police investigating

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot in Southeast D.C. on Thursday, police said.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) told DC News Now that around midnight, officers responded to the 700 block of Chesapeake Street for a shooting.

Once on the scene, officers located a man who had been shot.
