(KRON) — A 32-year-old woman who allegedly swung a bottle at a security guard while stealing alcohol from a Safeway grocery store in San Mateo was arrested Tuesday, according to police. Officers with the San Mateo Police Department responded at 3:56 p.m. to the Safeway location at 1655 S. El Camino Real on a report of alcohol theft in progress.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Shannon Householder, tried to hit a store loss prevention officer with a bottle of alcohol. Householder than ran off with around $130 in stolen alcohol and assaulted another Safeway loss prevention officer in the parking lot.

Officers arrived on the scene and detained Householder near the intersection of 18th Avenue and Palm Avenue. Officers arrested Householder on suspicion of robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon against multiple victims.
Police also obtained store surveillance, further substantiating probable cause. Officers searched Householder’s property and found multiple bottles of allegedly stolen alcohol belonging to Safeway. Householder, a resident of San Carlos, was booked into San Mateo County Jail…
