PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – The growing need for healthcare workers in our area may soon have some new faces. As students of FSU PC’s Nurse Anesthesia Program are making the move from the classroom to clinical’s.
Wednesday at the Holley Center, Florida State University celebrated its nurse anesthesia students with a white coat ceremony. Program officials wanted to make it clear this is not a graduation. These students still have 21 months to go. But it is a significant milestone, marking their move from classrooms to clinical’s.
Students will now start rotating through hospitals to gain hands-on experience with a wide range of patients. With Florida’s aging population expected to grow sharply over the next decade, program leaders say these future nurse anesthetists will play a critical role in meeting demand…
