‘Mega Maintenance’ Project To Close 6 Miles Of Major Highway In Minnesota

It may feel like summer is getting close to hitting the home stretch, but that doesn’t mean that road construction projects are close to winding down in Minnesota.

That shouldn’t come as a big surprise since earlier this year, the Minnesota Department of Transportation announced it had nearly 180 road and bridge projects lined up this season, plus an additional 51 projects designed to improve airports, water ports, railroad crossings, and transit infrastructure.

Now, as August approaches, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is warning motorists to be prepared for a large section of a major highway to be closed for several days.
