Stray bullet hits woman outside Baltimore bar, ignites safety concerns in Federal Hill

(WBFF) — A 39-year-old woman was struck by a stray bullet outside Nobles Bar and Grill on South Charles Street just after midnight on Sunday. The shooting has heightened concerns about public safety in the Federal Hill neighborhood.

Jenna, a Federal Hill resident, expressed her apprehension, saying, “It’s definitely gotten worse I think over the last few years. And I have stopped going out as much, especially on the weekends…just you know, in this area.”

Residents have voiced frustration over what they perceive as a lack of action from city leaders. During a public safety meeting in May, community members discussed issues ranging from illegal dirt bikes to juvenile crime. One woman at the meeting said, “You want to make Baltimore great again, you better do something about these bikers.” Another resident questioned, “If the drive is that we don’t want to lock kids up in jail. Ok, whatever policy or reason might be sure. But then my question is what’s the plan?”…
