Officers in DeKalb County engaged in a high-speed chase Monday afternoon after attempting to pull over a Honda seen weaving on Candler Road. The incident, which swiftly escalated into a pursuit along Glenwood Road and onto Columbia Drive, culminated with the vehicle crashing into a parked car on Elgin Drive. Fox 5 Atlanta reports that the driver, along with a passenger, attempted to flee the scene but were quickly apprehended with assistance from aerial and K-9 units.
Upon searching the vehicle, authorities uncovered an arsenal of weapons and a stash of narcotics. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, an assault rifle, two handguns, a substantial quantity of cash, over a pound of marijuana, and numerous grams of Oxycodone were among the items seized. Both suspects were arrested following the search; the passenger was promptly taken to jail, while the driver was hospitalized due to an injury sustained during the chase.
The individuals involved in the incident have been identified, with the driver, 20-year-old Saderrick Noid, expected to be jailed post-recovery, and the passenger, 24-year-old Donovan Hudson, currently facing several charges.
