JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — Benita Conn used a leaf blower to clear the insulation and ashes from her mother’s porch. An occasional breeze carries the smell of the scorched home next door.
Pieces of the home sit around the now exposed foundation. The home, in the 900 block of Washington Way, exploded just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night. Five people have life-threatening injuries and are being treated in the hospital.
Police said there was no foul play involved, especially “no evidence of malicious intent.”…
