Wrong way driver killed after landing in SW Rosser ditch

PORT ST. LUCIE – A Port St. Lucie man was fatally injured when the car he was driving ran off the road and landed in a drainage ditch at Southwest Mullinax Avenue and Southwest Rosser Boulevard on July 29 in Port St. Lucie, police said.

Robert Cevetello, 68, was passing several cars in a 2012 Dodge Ram going south in the northbound lane of Southwest Rosser Boulevard at about 4 p.m., July 29, police said.

As northbound traffic was approaching, Cevetello swerved back into the southbound lane striking a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro, pushing it onto the west shoulder sidewalk, according to police reports…
