BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Judges from the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal have voted to reverse a conviction and sentence handed down in a 2021 Baton Rouge murder case.
The First Circuit determined that state prosecutors did not introduce a substantial enough amount of evidence to prove Curtis Stewart Jr., 31, was responsible for the ambush killing of Devonta Ennis in April of 2021.
