Three arrested, including a minor, in deadly North Austin auto-ped collision

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police have identified a pedestrian who was fatally struck following a disturbance over the weekend in North Austin and arrested three suspects allegedly involved in the incident.

Police responded at 8:35 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, to a disturbance call at 12333 North Lamar Boulevard. Upon arrival, they discovered a pedestrian, later identified as Ismal Mossaad, 49, was struck during the incident. Mossaad was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested three individuals in connection with the incident. A 16-year-old male, the driver of one of the vehicles involved, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Markell D Turner, 33, the driver of the second vehicle, faces charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI). His passenger, Jarina D.
