Family of Texas Tech alum killed in hit-and-run mourns his loss, seeks answers

Seth Rains “never left a room without leaving smiles behind him,” his aunt Rachel Lopez Doporto wrote in a GoFundMe post.

Rains, 23, was a graduate of Mansfield Summit High School in Arlington, a Texas Tech University alum and a member of the Beta Upsilon Chi fraternity, according to the post. He had just started a job in June as a financial planner for Creative Planning in Austin, according to his LinkedIn.
