There’s still limited information about what led to the death of an infant at a day care in Southeast Bexar County on Wednesday, July 30. However, the facility has a history of reports from a state agency, raising questions about what happened Wednesday afternoon.
An infant was found unresponsive at Kid Kountry Early Learning Center at around 3:30 p.m., when first responders were dispatched to the scene, according to preliminary information from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. Lifesaving measures were performed but were unsuccessful.
In reviewing Texas Health and Human Services reports — the agency responsible for regulating day cares in the state — eight incidents were reported at the facility last year in violation of state regulations, ranging in severity from “high” to “medium high” to “medium.”…
