Albany police charge former parole officer in narcotics investigation

ALBANY — Two people, including a former parole officer, were arrested in connection with a narcotics investigation Wednesday, city police said.

Albany police detectives executed a search warrant around 10:15 a.m. at a McAlpin Street home where they found crack cocaine and a loaded handgun, which had been reported stolen out of Georgia, according to police. The two people there — 53-year-old Theresa Arthur and 45-year-old Raymond Still, both of Albany — are now facing drug and weapons charges.

Arthur worked as a parole officer up until approximately sometime last year, state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision spokesman Thomas Mailey confirmed. A DOCCS reentry operations roster from May 2024 lists Arthur as assigned to the Hudson Valley region, which includes Albany. Mailey was not certain of the circumstances of her leaving…
