KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Lieutenant Governor and Speaker of the Senate Randy McNally appointed several members to higher education boards, after a new law gave him the authority to do so.
He appointed David Wade to the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees. Wade is the CEO of EPB in Chattanooga, a company that provides internet, energy, television, and phone services. He began working for EPB in 1983 as a line helper. He was soon promoted to senior manager, then Vice President, then President and CEO in 2016. Wade has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from UT Chattanooga.

“David Wade’s extensive experience, leadership, and commitment to both innovation and community make him an invaluable asset to the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees,” McNally said. “His proven track record as CEO of EPB in Chattanooga demonstrates his dedication to progress, and I am confident that his insights will help further elevate the university’s mission of excellence in education and service to our state.”
