A physician in Clovis, Calif., has been given a three-year suspension from practicing medicine over negligence in a case that ended in a patient’s death, The Fresno Bee reported July 30.
Records from the Medical Board of California identified the physician as Adam Rajoulh, MD, a family medicine physician. According to the Bee, Dr. Rajoulh also showed a “lack of professionalism” in a July 8, 2022, social media post in which he said he prescribed laxatives to unsuspecting patients who were “annoying” him while asking for pain medication.
The negligence case concerned a 74-year-old man with a history of peptic ulcers. The man appeared in an emergency room in Fresno, Calif., where Dr. Rajoulh was working on Jan. 21, 2023. The man initially presented with dizziness, weakness and rectal bleeding.
