‘Politically motivated’: Orange County leaders weigh in on DOGE audit efforts

ORLANDO, Fla. — As Orange County prepares for a state audit next week, Mayor Jerry Demings and commissioners are weighing in on the notice they recently received.

The audit by the Florida Department of Governmental Efficiency (DOGE) will take a closer look at the county’s funding and spending. Florida DOGE is sending staff to Orange County next week on Aug. 5 and 6.
