OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – A former corrections officer from Ocala has been sentenced to three years in prison for accepting about $44,000 in bribes to smuggle drugs into a correctional facility.
Samuel Smith, 38, who served as an officer at the Coleman Federal Correctional Complex in Sumter County, will also be required to repay the bribes.
