BUENA PARK — A group of neighbors who live between the Sheridan and Wilson stops on the Red Line say noise from the train has become unbearable since a “slow zone” was removed last year.
The group has held meetings with the CTA and local officials to try to address the issue. They said the noise got significantly worse after the train tracks were modernized last summer, allowing the CTA to run the southbound trains much faster even though the rest of the track infrastructure is old.
