EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens celebrated the return of a cherished resident Thursday.
Mr. Potato Head, a 600-pound, 75-year-old Galápagos tortoise who has been a favorite since 1991 returned to a new and updated habitat.
Zoo Director Joe Montisano expressed enthusiasm about the revamped exhibit, saying, “Well, I think they’re happy to see Mr. Potato Head back on display.” He added, “I think it’s exciting to see the new barn. It’s more exciting for us because we saw the old barn, which was just ready to cave, ready to fall in practically.”…
