North Omaha neighborhood barricaded as police, U.S. Marshals work standoff

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Police barricaded a North Omaha neighborhood Friday morning as they work on making an arrest.

Omaha Police and U.S. Marshals went to a home near 42nd Street and Sorensen Parkway, but weren’t allowed in, prompting a standoff at around 9:15 a.m.

First Alert 6 is at the scene and heard OPD negotiators asking someone to give themselves up. Early in the afternoon, officers in masked gear were seen going in and out of the home. A drone was also deployed into the home multiple times, most recently at about 2:15 p.m…
