An 8-year-old boy is in protective custody following a fatal shooting at his home Tuesday night. The Sedgwick County Sheriff said the suspect is the boy’s father — and the victim his grandmother.
The boy lived with his grandmother, 49-year-old Sharmaine Burke, at a home in Longbranch Mobile Home Community near Derby.
