Albany, NY (WRGB) — 31-year-old Ocya Easley was sentenced to 10 years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision for a brutal attack to a woman with a box cutter on North Pearl Street. The sentencing was announced by Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon.
Easley pleaded guilty to Assault in the First Degree after chasing down the victim on July 22, 2024, just after 5:30 PM. She cut the victim’s arm and leg, needing emergency surgery. The attack, witnessed by several bystanders who recorded the incident on their phones, occurred in broad daylight on a busy Albany street.
