(FOX40.COM) – In July alone, Solano Area officers confiscated 16 illegal firearms from our roads, including handguns, assault-style weapons, and ghost guns. These seizures are the outcome of proactive enforcement efforts, patrol work, and community cooperation. Police say removing illegal weapons from our streets helps prevent potential tragedies and contributes to a safer Solano County for all residents.
On July 31, 2025, at approximately 3:38 a.m., Solano Area officers conducted a traffic stop on a white Chrysler 300 for speeding on eastbound I-80 at Red Top Road. During the encounter, officers observed open containers of alcohol and conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle. As a result, two illegal firearms were recovered. (pictured below) The driver and passenger were subsequently arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail.
