Corpus Christi First Responders Rescue Man in Crisis on Harbor Bridge

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Corpus Christi Police and Fire Departments successfully rescued a man in crisis from the old Harbor Bridge late Friday night, July 25, after a two-hour operation.

Officers were dispatched to the bridge at 11:52 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from a man under the structure who said he was in crisis. Upon arrival, officers established communication with the man by phone.

The Corpus Christi Police Department’s Hostage Negotiation Team and the Corpus Christi Fire Department’s Rescue Unit were called to the scene.
