SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Relief from the extreme heat is on the way tonight as a cold front slowly pushes south into the ArkLaTex. With this front moving through, scattered storms will be possible throughout the night. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 70s.
As we wake up Saturday morning, scattered storms will already be in progress in some areas as this cold front continues to slowly push south. Storms will focus south of the I-20 corridor by afternoon as drier air arrives from the north behind the front. Northeast winds will usher in some refreshing air by August standards with highs in the mid 80s. By Saturday night, temperatures will likely fall into the 60s in many areas!
Sunshine returns Sunday but it will remain fairly pleasant with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s. Humidity will stay in check so it should be a great day to get outside…
