Neighbor sues to try to block 103-unit 40B project in Chestnut Hill

A neighbor has sued in an attempt to block a 103-apartment housing project in Chestnut Hill that, almost two years after it was first proposed, was recently given the go-ahead by the town’s Zoning Board of Appeals.

The complaint, filed on July 21 by Xiaoning “Nina” Crowley, challenges the so-called Heath/Sheafe/Hammond project on a number of grounds.

Crowley owns a three-family home at 557 Heath Street, adjacent to the site, which is at the corner of Heath, Sheafe and Hammond Streets near Route 9 in Chestnut Hill…
