GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A major break in the heat is underway for parts of the region this weekend as temperatures plummet well below average. Temperatures and dew points creep back up into next week.
‘Weather whiplash’ is in effect for both Saturday and Sunday as an unseasonable cold air wedge sets up shop and allows temperatures to tumble into the 70s, which is about 10 to 15 degrees below average for the Western Carolinas. Saturday sets up to be rather gloomy with persistent clouds along with showers and areas of drizzle.
