Several Teens Arrested in Separate Overnight Crimes Across Nashville

Metro Police were kept busy earlier this week on Monday night into early Tuesday morning as a series of crimes involving teenagers unfolded across Nashville. The incidents included stolen vehicles, carjackings, armed robbery, and the recovery of weapons and cash—all carried out by suspects ranging in age from 16 to 19.

The first arrests came just after 8 p.m. Monday, when Vehicle Crimes detectives tracked a stolen 2014 white Lexus in the Edgehill area. When 19-year-old Khania Donnell and a 17-year-old female passenger drove off in the vehicle, officers attempted a traffic stop. Donnell fled, leading police on a pursuit that ended on the I-65 South ramp to I-440 West after spike strips were successfully deployed. Detectives recovered a license plate in the Lexus linked to a stolen Nissan Maxima found on the opposite side of the concrete barrier, suggesting the suspects may have been attempting to switch vehicles.

Inside the 17-year-old’s bag, officers found a stolen handgun, marijuana, burglary tools, and a vehicle programmer. The firearm had been reported stolen from a secured parking garage in May. Donnell now faces charges including two counts of vehicle theft, theft of a firearm, possession of burglary tools, and evading arrest. She is being held on a $47,500 bond.
