HCA Florida Healthcare recently announced plans to open a new, freestanding emergency room along State Road 200 in southwest Ocala that will be accessible by golf cart from the city’s largest retirement community.
On Monday, July 28, the hospital stated that it hopes to open a new ER at the intersection of SR 200 and SW 99th Street Road in Ocala. The new development is next to On Top of the World, which is an age-restricted, 55+ community.
According to HCA Florida, the 11,000-square-foot, one-story ER will be full-serviced and fully staffed. It will feature 11 emergency exam rooms, a CT scanner, general X-rays, and on-site laboratory services…
