‘The system is going to potentially get overloaded:’ Rural hospitals brace for Medicaid cuts under new law

MARENGO, Iowa (KCRG) – Leaders at Compass Memorial Hospital in Marengo are expecting more patients to walk through their doors once Medicaid cuts take effect.

“Whether you’re a Medicaid recipient or not, people may end up feeling the effects of this somewhere,” CEO Barry Goettsch said.
