A powerful tribute is coming to Old Katy, one that blends deep community pride with heartfelt gratitude. The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Katy, has launched the Hometown Heroes Banner Program to honor veterans and active-duty military who call—or once called—Katy home.
The program will feature beautiful banners lining George Bush Drive, spanning Katy Heritage Park to the VFW Post 9182 in Katy, each displaying the name, photo, and branch of service of a local hero. The banners will be on display for a minimum of eight weeks during a designated recognition period, serving as a visible “thank you” to those who have worn the uniform and defended freedom.
