Trades begin to weaken Sunday into next week.
1. Ex-police chief Logan files suit against city
Now-former Honolulu police chief Joe Logan has filed suit against the City and County of Honolulu, Mayor Rick Blangiardi and other unidentified defendants, alleging that the mayor pressured him to take illegal and unconstitutional police actions, subjected him to threats and retaliation when he declined and ultimately forced him to resign under threat to himself and his family.
Last month, Logan’s lawyer, Joseph Rosenbaum, sent a letter to the city claiming Logan was owed $460,000 for the remaining two years of his contract. The suit was filed on Logan’s last official day on the job…
