Man stabbed at Grand Rapids-area Walmart less than a week after mass stabbing at Traverse City location

GRAND RAPIDS (WWJ) A man was stabbed at a Walmart near Grand Rapids less than one week after the mass stabbing of eleven people at a Traverse City location.

According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office;  the suspect stabbed the victim, 23, multiple times. It happed on Friday, August 1, at approximately 9 p.m. at the store on Alpine Avenue in Alpine Township.

Authorities said the suspect, 29, ran out of the store and was struck by a vehicle. Good Samaritans attempted to apprehend him. Deputies arrived and took him into custody within “minutes,” sheriff’s officials said…
