Mill Road reopens to traffic, though some work continues

MADISON, Ala. — Construction on Mill Road is complete, and the roadway has reopened to all traffic just in time for the new school year, city officials announced Friday.

The reopening marks the end of the Mill Road Stabilization Project, which began its second phase on May 22 with an extended closure affecting access to the Millstone Subdivision.

While the road is now open, driver should be aware of temporary striping on the pavement. Officials said intermittent lane closures are expected over the next few weeks as crews apply permanent thermoplastic striping once the new pavement has fully cured…
