SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Pigeon Forge Police Department and Sevierville Police Department, took a man into custody Friday after a standoff that lasted for longer than an hour, according to City of Sevierville Public Information Office Bob Stahlke.
It happened in the afternoon, Stahlke said, when sheriff’s office and police department SWAT teams responded to a home on Goose Gap Road. There, officers were looking for 24-year-old Arnaldo Gomez Alberto, Stahlke said, who was wanted for entering a home on July 26 and threatening a woman and children with a gun.
The standoff lasted about an hour and fifteen minutes, Stahlke said. Alberto was eventually taken into custody without anyone getting hurt…
