Collier County’s first new elementary school in nearly two decades officially opened its doors Friday, Aug. 1 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, just ten days before the start of the upcoming school year.
Located at 2400 Cub Court, Bear Creek Elementary School was introduced to community members, school board officials and district staff. The event featured guided campus tours and remarks from school leaders.
When classes begin Aug. 11, Bear Creek Elementary will welcome nearly 1,000 students, including 80 pre-kindergarten students and 919 K-5 students. The school’s mascot is the Cubs, and the official school colors are Hunter Green and Sage Green…
