NYPD officer hospitalized after early morning NYC hit-and-run, suspect on the lam

An on-duty NYPD cop was hospitalized with minor injuries after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver on a Queens street early Saturday, authorities said – less than a week after another police officer was shot and killed when a maniac opened fire in a Midtown skyscraper.

The incident occurred just after 5 a.m. when a pair of officers attempted to pull over a speeding blue four-door Subaru Sedan near 46th Avenue and 108th Street, cops said.
