PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A teenager has been charged in connection with the shooting at Christy Recreation Center Wednesday evening that injured five.
Police say staff members broke up a fight at the recreation center on 56th and Christian streets. Those involved left, but later returned around 4 p.m. Shots were fired outside the pool, striking a 10-year-old boy, an 11-year-old girl, two 16-year-olds and a 32-year-old staff member. One of the 16-year-olds is critical.
Police say 17-year-old Keon Kiah is one of several people who returned to the center after the dispute. He is accused of discharging a gun near the pool while kids and staff members were there…
