4-H club gives Lincoln kids a chance to work with pigs

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Pick-a-Pig club meets throughout the summer in rural Lancaster County near Raymond. But during fair time, the kids get the chance to show their animals in the ring.

We caught up with Harry and Lois Muhlbach to talk about the club, of which Harry started 18 years ago.

The couple has property near Raymond where they house a number of pigs that kids from the city can purchase and show at the county fair. The beauty of this is that kids from the city may not have a place to house a pig but they may have a passion for livestock.
