Former Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke will hold a hold a town hall meeting to discuss current state and federal issues effecting New Orleanians and other south Louisiana residents as well as what voters want to for the future August 7 the Howlin’ Wolf.
O’Rourke’s stop in New Orleans is part of a national tour the former member of the Congress is taking in part to draw attention to Republicans upcoming efforts to redraw congressional districts in order to solidify their control of the House. This isn’t his first time in New Orleans: during his presidential campaign O’Rourke visited the city, including an appearance at the 2019 Essence Fest.
But it could also serve as an early way to re-introduce himself to Democratic voters ahead of the 2028 presidential election…
