MARSHALL, Mich. — Classic, custom, and vintage cars will take over downtown Marshall on Saturday for the annual “Marshall Motorfest.”
Visitors will have the chance to admire cars, enjoy local dining, and explore the city’s unique shops, officials said.

Hosted by Choose Marshall, the festivities are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. with “Cars & Coffee” at DeNooyer Chevrolet. The car registration tent opens at 10 a.m. on South Jefferson Street, according to the city.
Officials said the schedule of activities and attractions is as follows:
- 2 p.m. — Family Fun Zone opens for kids and families; Ford electric vehicle test drives begin
- 3 p.m. — Cruise lineup starts
- 3:30 p.m. — Rockabilly kids costume competition on Jefferson Street
- 4 p.m. — Rockabilly adults competition
- 5 p.m. — Police-escorted cruise travels to park downtown for an evening celebration
Additionally, the city said Venue 19 Zero 9 is hosting a kickoff event Friday evening where Michigan Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist II is expected to attend the “Classics & Cocktails” reception. That event will feature several Ford vehicles, including a Model T, a Mustang Mach-E, and an F-150 Lightning.
