Fire alert as California heatwave to cause triple-digit temperatures

While California has been somewhat spared from the extreme heat that much of America has recently experienced, the state is expected to warm up further.

Southern California is forecasted to see a surge in warm weather, with some areas possibly hitting triple-digit temperatures, and Los Angeles will experience a boost this weekend.

The heat will become noticeable on Wednesday and peak on Thursday as a high-pressure system expands over Southern California.
