WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Wilmington Airport’s official temperature sunk to the refreshing middle 60s Sunday morning; you may expect coolish northeast breezes to continue to grace the Cape Fear Region. Lows Sunday night will once again in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Toastier deep 80s to near 90 will make a comeback in the week ahead.
On the rain and storm front: expect chances 20% Monday, and 30 to 50% Tuesday through Friday. Sneaky tropical storm formation is possible east of Cape Hatteras early this week but, regardless of and such development, local impacts will be near zero. And in the surf: expect a moderate to low risk rip current risk Sunday, highest for east-facing beaches.
