Hot temperatures but slightly drier air around Sunday

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Slightly drier air moved in overnight leading to dewpoints closer to the 70 degree mark. With northerly winds, the air won’t feel as oppressive as it has the past few days. Temperatures warm quickly and reach the mid 90s this afternoon. A shower or storm along the coast is possible, but most areas will remain rain-free today. Overnight, skies clear as temperatures once again settle in the low and mid 70s.

Monday begins with quiet weather and plentiful sunshine. Clouds build in throughout the day, but they will provide shade rather than any rainfall. High temperatures reach the mid 90s with the slightly drier air still lingering about the area.
