The Boulder community can breathe a little easier today following the capture of a mountain lion responsible for the death of a local dog. Boulder Police Department, in collaboration with Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) and Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP), successfully trapped and relocated the predator. The joint operation took place last night and was deemed a success with no additional incidents reported.
The mountain lion had been lingering in a neighborhood for a week after its initial attack. The community response was swift, combining resources to address the situation.
