RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) — A Richmond County deputy escaped injury Saturday night after an impaired driver crashed into a marked patrol vehicle in downtown Augusta.
It happened around 10:29 p.m. in the 900 block of Broad Street. Officials say Deputy Boyd was driving westbound in a marked unit when another vehicle pulled out of a parking area and hit the patrol car on the driver’s side.
The crash caused minor damage to the PIT bar on the patrol unit and scuffed the front passenger side of the suspect’s vehicle. No injuries were reported…
