NYC Mayor Adams nixes bipartisan bill for free trash cans to homeowners, report says

Mayor Eric Adams won’t support legislation that would provide free trash cans for homeowners, according to a new report from the New York Post.

In March, the New York City Council passed legislation that would require the city to provide official cans free of charge to owners of one- or two-family homes who also receive benefits under the New York School Tax Relief Program (STAR).

Such homeowners who already purchased their bins could also receive a reimbursement under the legislation…
